24.12.08: The Host Model of Earthis Host Model Research's flagship discussion paper. It introduces the view that Planet Earth is a planetary being who has observed our illustrious rise to global domination over the course of the last several million years. It proposes that the continents of Planet Earth are not randomly drawn topographical figures but represent this being. Accordingly the American continents represent the hind legs of this creature, the African continent represents its fore legs, and the creature's head is found in the vicinity of Europe. While this may seem like a dramatic revelation, even more so is the ability to locate the Italian peninsula in a purely representational context.
The planet is evidently host to our very existence here on Earth, and we have based our name on a belief in the validity of this theory.
